Happy day before Friday! Once again, I’m teaming up with Glam and Discover Card to bring you another red carpet inspired look. Of course, the Grammys were this past Sunday and we’ve all been buzzing about our favorite looks. Now, you may recall that I started with a $150 budget for my Golden Globes inspired look. I spent $110 on that look, so I had $40 remaining to pull together this look.
As soon as I saw her on the red carpet, I knew exactly what I was going to wear for this challenge! I pulled out my orange Rachel Roy lace crop top and Topshop black lace midi skirt and used my remaining $40 to finish of my look with a pair of black mesh pumps from ShoeDazzle (see them up close here!)
I think of all the awards shows, the red carpet at The Grammys is the most unpredictable. You really never know what you’re going to get. This is the red carpet that brought us Lil Kim’s nipple cover, J. Lo’s famous plunging neckline, Lady Gaga’s egg cocoon contraption. This year, however, the red carpet was pretty darn reasonable, wouldn’t you say? Gold and red seemed to be the colors of the evening, and my absolute favorite look for the night was Taylor Swift’s stunning Gucci gown. It was exquisite!
